Brandy Isadora

Once upon a midsummer night’s dream . . .

At 18, Brandy Isadora (Bisadora) created her first innovative design – the Bisadora Hip Purse. During her college years, Brandy and her friends would go dancing and to other social events. The dilemma that Brandy and her friends faced was where to put their purses when they were on the dance floor. Thus, Brandy created the Bisadora Hip Purse. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention.

As a world traveler, a few years later Brandy was vacationing in Spain. While there, she was waiting in line to visit a museum. During this time, the lady next to her had her purse snatched. Brandy witnessed how distressed this woman became; she was in a foreign country and she had just lost everything. This particular day, Brandy was wearing her Bisadora Hip Purse concealed under her blazer. It was then that Brandy realized her hip purse was more than just a convenience. The Bisadora Hip Purse allowed her to be hands free, and since her hip purse was concealed, she was not an easy target for purse snatching.

In the summer of 2000, Brandy started her company, Bisadora. As a young professional in a tech driven society, Brandy had a great appreciation for multi-tasking and the need to be hands free! This is what inspired Brandy to design the Bisadora Messenger Bag and Garter Purse. As a designer, Brandy has pursued a harmony between art and engineering. Each design is carefully constructed to capture the individual’s sense of fashion and meet the need of being hands free.

Brandy graduated summa cum laude from Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University with a degree in English. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in creative writing. During her free time, Brandy enjoys music and playing the guitar and cello in different bands.
